Abstract

Die Inter-Fahrzeug-Kommunikation ermöglicht eine Reihe von Anwendungen, die nicht nur Verkehrssicherheit, sondern auch den Komfort der Fahrer verbessern sollen. Besonders interessant ist in diesem Zusammenhang die Erzeugung und Verteilung von Informationen über Verkehrsstörungen. Ob solche Informationen unter Verwendung von Infrastruktur oder durch Kommunikation nur zwischen den Fahrzeugen verteilt werden, wird bisher meist statisch festgelegt. Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, dass infrastrukturbasierte Lösungen bei hohem Verkehrsaufkommen bessere Ergebnisse erzielen als solche ohne Infrastruktur. Dieser Effekt kehrt sich bei niedriger Verkehrsdichte um. Deswegen habe ich in dieser Arbeit das 'Adaptive Traffic Beacon'-Protokoll entwickelt. Es passt sein Sendeintervall nicht nur an die Wichtigkeit der zu sendenden Verkehrsinformationen und die Auslastung des Funkkanals an, sondern reagiert auch auf die Anwesenheit von Infrastruktur. Ich habe das Protokoll als Modul für OMNeT++ implementiert, um es im Veins Framework – einer Umgebung aus gekoppeltem Verkehrs- und Netzwerksimulator – evaluieren zu können. Vergleiche mit früheren Untersuchungen zeigen, dass nicht nur die Fahrzeit der Fahrzeuge dadurch verkürzt werden kann, sondern auch die Auslastung des Funkkanals gering bleibt. Kritisch zu betrachten ist der Einsatz von IVC-Systemen in Bezug auf die Umweltbelastung. Ich konnte anhand von Untersuchungen zeigen, dass diese Systeme sich nicht immer positiv auf den CO2-Verbrauch auswirken.
