Contents
This project group is being offered to complement our "Master Seminar" series, each issue of which treats current topics in the context of active research domains.
Learning Outcome
In the course of the project group, attendants will refine their skills of quickly familiarizing themselves with an active research process, investigating new concepts in a small group of students.
Course details
This master course will be held in English and all the course material is available in English.

Topics
In this project group we aim to build on top of the VLC transmitter and receiver prototypes developed in the scope of the previous project group of the same topic. The end-goal is to have a low-latency robust communication system with a minimum range of 25 m, which can enable vehicle platooning. The work is split into three parts:
- improvement of the transmitter and receiver PCBs (EE, Winter 2017/2018)
- development of a transmitter PCB for a modern matrix LED headlight and taillight (EE, Summer 2018)
- improvement of OFDM and DSSS modulation techniques using software defined radio (SDR)
- investigation of medium access stratgies for Vehicular VLC and their implementation in SDR.
