EVARILOS Open Challenge – Winners Track3

The EVARILOS consortium is pleased to announce the winners of the EVARILOS Open Challenge TRACK 3: Evaluation of RF-BASED INDOOR LOCALIZATION ALGORITHMS, which took place during May‐July 2014 as online remote competition. Our congratulations go to:

1st Place Winner

Indoor Geolocation for Android Smartphones with Airplace
T. Constambeys*, C. Laoudias, D. Zeinalipour-Yazti*, C. G. Panayiotou

*Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus
KIOS Research Center for Intelligent Systems and Networks, University of Cyprus

2nd Place Winner

Geo-n Localization and 3CoM (3 Centers of Mass) Indoor Localization Algorithms
S. Adler, S. Schmitt, H. Will, T. Hillebrandt, M. Kyas

Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, FU Berlin

Please find here the details of the results.

The competing localization solutions has been evaluated following the EVARILOS benchmarking methodology, aligned with the upcoming ISO/IEC 18305 standard: Test and evaluation of localization and tracking systems, both under standard office type of environment and under specific, controlled RF interference conditions.

The EVARILOS Open Challenge has been run with two tracks:

TRACK 2: RF-BASED INDOOR LOCALIZATION SOLUTIONS IN PUBLIC SPACES
Ongoing - Ghent, BE

TRACK 3: RF-BASED INDOOR LOCALIZATION ALGORITHMS
Online remote competition ‐ Closed
