The Roses project at the chair for communication systems and computer networks is occupied in the context of research and teachings with sensor networks and energy administration using robots. The robots are shipped with a rudimentary C++ library for the special hardware of the system. A software is necessary for the sensors and actuators of the robot. A TCP socket and/or a command line access to the system should be provided where calls in form 'get Voltage()' are possible. In addition the system should be easily extended. A system architecture is developed which meets all requirements. The core of the system provides all necessary functions and interfaces to extend the system by functionality. To be seen the system architecture contains no functionality. Thus can be used in any kind of projects. The functionalities are supplemented at run-time by extensions. Each system can be adapted at run-time dynamically to the needs. The necessary controls for the sensors and actuators of the robot are developed as extensions during this study thesis. The Roses project uses the architecture for exercises. The students are able to develop new extensions within a course easily. In the scope of the project some study thesis and diploma thesis have been developed extensions and will be.
