In the context of this master thesis I have implemented an issue for the rule-based sensor net in the hardware platform BTnode. This research supports the new paradigm of the network-centric data processing. Most of all the important conception the new paradigm, i.e. Broadcasting, Gossiping Aggregation are realized. The implementation of an already with software simulated issue is not trivial, because the real behavior of a hardware device can not be completely simulated. I have programmed the components in the system: A scanner for lexical analysis, a parser exams the syntax and constructs the syntax tree. A traverser interprets the syntax tree and runs all the commands in the rule base. There is an independent thread to deal with the incoming packets. It adds some information of packets and stores it into a buffer, or it is called a set so that they would be in a future time alltogether periodically processed. The set for storing the packets are developed with a dynamic structure. It would grow when that is needed. What is stored in most of the sets are the pointers to packet. The packet itself is stored only once. In this way places are reduced to store packets. The syntax tree is very important for the interpretation of the rules. A challenge of my work is to develop a compact syntax tree in the BTnode, where only limited RAM is available. With this hardware implementation people get many possibilities to analyze the network-centric data processing. The energy consumption and scalability and different algorithms will be investigated in more detail, for example to develop new rules.
