Description

SPEAR's goal is the development of a flexible optimization platform for improving a broad range of industrial production processes regarding energy related aspects. SPEAR will support the optimization of existing and new production plants during their operation and during virtual commissioning. For this purpose, the energy usage will be simulated in real time on low-cost hardware. Real device-provided simulation models will be used in order to produce highly accurate forecasts for the energy consumption of industrial production processes. The simulation will be permanently updated with real measurements, thus creating a digital shadow of the production system.
