Short Bio
In 2008 she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering at Azad University. Following her graduation, she has been employed as a “Network Engineer” in an IT company. She worked as part of a ‘network experts’ group and was involved in configuring, designing and maintaining wireless communication networks implemented on Cisco devices. After two years of professional life, she continued her education in Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. She chose “Wireless Sensor Networks” topic as her principal research area for her thesis work. In 2013 she achieved her MSc Degree Program in Information Systems in the Department of Informatics. Her Master studies and particularly her Master thesis topic were focused mainly on developing new methods and algorithms in wireless networks and communications. Following, she has been employed as a researcher in Network and Telecommunications research area in IBCN, Ghent University, Belgium. She has worked on a project which was concentrated mainly on wireless communications among Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). In 2016, she has been employed as a research assistant by IMDEA Network Institute in Madrid, Spain. She worked on a project called “localization and mobility prediction in wireless networks”. Her research work was focused on Visible Light Communications and following, she had an internship position to work as a researcher in RF and optical communication laboratory in Haixi institutes Chinese academy of sciences. In 2018, she achieved a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA ITN) grant in order to pursue a Ph.D. degree at Technische Universität Berlin, and employed by OSRAM GmbH as her main host collaborating with seven other universities, companies, and research institutes in Europe. Her project is called VisIoN stating for "Visible light based Interoperability and Networking”.
