Communication is one of the main research areas announced by the TU Berlin. The Innovation Center H-C3 has been founded to foster the research potential in this field, and to establish closely cooperating, mutually complementary research areas
Communication plays a similar role for the society as the nervous system to humans.
Humans should be able to receive an intuitive access and handling of information, independent from social origins and education.
Humans are the center of communication, not technology.
An excellent university team and over ten cooperating institutes will follow an integrative approach covering technologies necessary for making such vision a reality, but also associated sociological aspects; in a full scope: from fundamental concepts, through architectures and algorithms up to methods, tools and platforms enhancing implementation.
The Integrated Graduate Program H-C3 (IGP H-C3) has been started in winter semester 2007/08 and is integral part of the center.
