Short Bio
Julian Heinovski is a PhD candidate and researcher at the Telecommunications Networks Group (TKN) at TU Berlin, Germany. His research interest is cooperative driving, mainly focused on platoon formation and vulnerable road user protection.
Julian received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science (Informatik) from Paderborn University, Germany, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. After his graduation in 2018, he joined the Distributed Embedded Systems Group (CCS Labs) at Paderborn University as a researcher and to work towards his PhD. In April 2020, he joined the Telecommunications Networks Group (TKN) at TU Berlin to continue his work towards his PhD.
Julian is a student member of IEEE and ACM and serves as a reviewer of manuscripts in the field of vehicular networking (see full list). He has volunteered at the 27th ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking and Computing (MobiHoc 2016) and it's OWL Wissenschafts- und Industrieforum (WIF 2017) in 2016 and 2017, respectively. From May 2016 until December 2017, he was a (student) research assistant in the Distributed Embedded Systems Group (CCS Labs) at Paderborn University, where he received the Distinguished Student Award 2017.
